Development Impact Assessments

At EPDS we have experience of representing both developers and local authorities in negotiations over the levels of contributions sought for education provision through s106, s75 or other agreements.

Our core offering is in the analysis of the impact of housing developments on local infrastructure. Our expertise includes impact assessment on local schools, public open spaces, health care and other amenities. EPDS works with a wide range of developers from small-scale to the major firms and on all sizes of development from 10 units to 6,000 units.

We also have experience of liaising with planning and education authorities on behalf of developers in taking forward schemes for Local Plans and are beginning similar work for the new Local Development Frameworks. EPDS also has consultants with experience of acting as expert witnesses both in the High Court and at Planning Appeals and Inquiries.
