Stonor's five-year unbeaten run against local rivals Turville was never under threat as they completely dominated a

drawn encounter at Stonor on Sunday. Having elected to bat the home side's 186 for 7 was based on an outstanding

second-wicket stand of 94 between Martin Fennell (36) and Jeremy Mayo (55). Ground down by the Stonor pair the

Turville attack struggled to contain the middle order, and after several batsmen threw their wickets away, Neil Brown

and John Powell joined forces to steer them to a challenging, if not unassailable total. It turned out to be more than

enough. After the dangerous James Hunt was dismissed as he tried to force the pace Turville settled for saving face and

an hour of stonewalling. A superb spell of 4-14 from Dan Fennell gave Stonor hope, but the match ended in a draw with

Turville 68 for 6 off 38 overs.
