On a Sunday where the weather improved as the afternoon went on Greys Green won the toss and asked Stonor to bat.  After a solid start, John Powell batting at number 3 was the backbone of the Stonor innings scoring 64.  Only one other Stonor batsman managed to get into double figures as the Greys Green bowlers delivered fantastic length and accuracy with B Ahmed finishing with 5 for 32 the pick of the bowling attach but well supported by D Stein and M Shafqat and a couple of runs outs that left Stonor 128 all out.

With a total maybe 20 or so runs light Stonor knew they had to bowl and field very well and they started well taking 3 wickets for 31 runs.  Then a stand of 72 between G Butler and M Skilleter proved to be the foundation for a Greys Green win but not until the Stonor bowlers had removed another 4 batsmen and restricted Greys Green until the 4th to last ball to hit the winning runs.  Andy Pennell showed us his usual accurate pace and well done to young Tom Marshall who bowled with some pace and fire to keep the game in the balance until the last over.
